Shiseido launches its autumn/winter 2008-9 colour collection on counters this week, and this season, it's all about contrast. Intriguing Elegance is a line of five key products created by Shiseido's Artistic Director Dick Page to create a dramatic combination of highlight and shadow and so form the chiaroscuro effect - a traditional painting technique that gives three-dimensionality through contrast of colour.
