Perfectly Imperfect
While autumn/winter 2008-09 make-up for is all about getting in touch with your inner goth, it seems a lighter mood is just around the corner. VOGUE.COM caught up with make-up legend Bobbi Brown backstage at Rachel Roy's New York Fashion Week show to find out how she creates the catwalk look for the models and what will be big in beauty next spring...
Bobbi said, "I love working with Rachel Roy - she's incredibly talented and such a lovely person. I was inspired by her spring collection to create a look that was 'perfectly imperfect.' I kept the face clean with a hint of shimmer blush, and used the new Bobbi Brights Palette (launching in spring 2009) to create a smoky purple eye, loosely applied for a fun, layered look. That's one of my favorite parts of Fashion Week - trying out new techniques that are a bit more daring and bold." We say start practicing now with Bobbi Brown's famous Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Violet Ink (£13.50).
'Perfectly imperfect' - now that's the trend for us...
